After I watched “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” and its “Behind the Scenes” content as a teen, I knew I had to be a filmmaker. It wasn’t because of the glory or the awards, but because of the simple and ingenious man I saw running around set without any shoes on as director. I realized that I could combine my love for writing and art together into the visual story-telling of film production. Today, I might not be Peter Jackson, but I’m certainly still pursuing my passion of telling stories through a visual medium both on YouTube as iIMAGINEblank and in the professional world as a video editor and production project manager. As I’ve progressed from making silly short films in my backyard to creating viral videos and promos shown to international audiences, there are several things I have learned about myself: • I have a passion for creativity, but I am inherently, extremely organized.• My organization lends itself well to coordinating and producing within the media production realm.• I am a problem-fixer.
