A centralized wallet system, or public and private key management infrastructure, is necessary for a cryptocurrency exchange. The centralized wallet system is the medium agent which coordinates settlements of users’ crypto assets between exchanges and among blockchains. I was in charge of designing and coding up basic structure in order to make it secure and reliable. The centralized wallet system of Exshell (www.exshell.com), which is an exchange run by Exbell tech, is supporting main cryptocurrencies and most token standards (ERC20/EOS/TRC20) now.

2017-2018 Blockchain researches, huobi groupBlockchains have varies features like anonymity, supporting smart contract, atomic swap, hash lock and so on. These features increase difficulty of listing coins. I was assigned to do researches on different coins and find a solution fits the exchange wallet system best. I figured out an efficient routine for researches and produced reports on 50 top coins by leading a small research team. Reading white papers gives us a basic understanding of blockchain and we can quickly find tough features for exchange wallet development. Collecting data from blockchain explorer can be used to analysis blockchain status and fee calculation. Running nodes and setting up testnet with special configurations make it easier for developer to deploy a database. Coding up several API/RPC invoke or SDK usage examples is important for designing exchange wallet system. 2017-2018 ERC20 Standard smart contract auditing, huobi groupSmart contract is a remarkable invention in blockchain, which extends usage of blockchain from “transfer tool” to “public platform”. At the meantime, it increases vulnerability of blockchain itself since most of smart contract codes are non-standard. I was in charge of smart contract security when Huobi launched HADAX which is a marketplace lists most high risk tokens issued by ERC20 standard smart contract. We aimed to find potential risk in listed and pre-listing token contracts. We set up and make use of several test tools like truffle for contract function invocation and gas usage, Remix for integrating test environment of contract running and Geth on testnet for observation of contract after deployment. We implemented a tool that compares new contract code with known attacked pattern.
