Lucid is a drone manufacturer that offers a safe and efficient solution to cleaning building exteriors by means of drone cleaning systems. I joined Lucid as they were transitioning from customizing off-the-shelf drones to manufacturing their own drones in-house.As an engineering intern, I designed the frame and components of a hexacopter drone using Autodesk Inventor (informed design using FEA). I fabricated the frame and components that I designed using tools such as CNC mill machine and 3D printers to build a prototypical cleaning drone. I continually reiterated on the design of the drone by making improvements that were informed by testing.

PABCO is a truck-body/van maker that is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Fuso and a member of the Daimler Group.During my time at PABCO, I:Spent extensive time in the plant, learning the manufacturing processes (how a production plant functions and how a truck-body/van is assembled). Shadowed site strategy team and learned about future plans for layout changes and process alterations for improved productivity.Participated in meetings with suppliers of factory equipment/machinery, meetings for plant improvement, and launch meetings for a new line of vans.Observed CTT (Custom Tailored Trucks) design team and learned how the team received custom orders from individual customers and used CAD to alter existing truck assemblies to cater to required specifications. Got to see special vans/vehicles be assembled.Translation (English to Japanese, Japanese to English) of technical data/specification sheets and quotes for multiple factory machines (hydraulic press, panel-foamer, etc).Management of truck, van, and additional parts order forms sent from customers.
