Development Responsible FinlandFilialen Byggmax Ab Finland Jan 2012 - Aug 2015FinlandIn 2012 the company had grown so big that we recruited a purchaser for Finland and I could focus more on the stores (interior and outlook) and expanding the network. The responsibility was still very comprehensive and since the Byggmax-concept has very specific needs for the store-layouts, the only solution was to build them up from scratch - i.e. find empty plots, negotiate with the owner (private or municipality), superintend the construction of the store, and implementing concept layouts.This period resulted in the opening of Oulu (September 2012) and Espoo, Kangasala and Seinäjoki (all in June 2013). In March 2014 we opened in Pirkkala.In November 2014 we begun implementing the "Byggmax 2.0"-concept in Finland - this included a total face-lift for all the stores, including a massive product expanding and total reconstruction of the interior.Vantaa and Vaasa was the first two stores, and since they worked out so well my team converted Turku, Lahti, Raisio, Jyväskylä, Porvoo, Oulu and Pori during winter and spring 2015. This was a very hectic period that pressed the ability of working with multi-tasking to the limits - fun but very demanding. -
