Independent creation of two articles focusing on LGBTQIA+ activism in Sweden, commissioned by RFSL Malmö.

RFSL Newcomers is a network for and with asylum-seeking, undocumented and newly arrived LGBTQI people. RFSL Newcomers offers activities, information and counseling in a safe space where our members get to meet others with a similar experience and are heard. Apart from offering social meeting spaces, RFSL works with advocacy on asylum issues by:-influencing legal and political decisions regarding the situation for LGBTQI asylum seekers’ -working for equality and strengthened rights for LGBTQI asylum seekers and newly arrived LGBTQI people,-informing about the current political and legal situation for LGBTQI asylum seekers in Sweden,-increasing the knowledge about the problems, such as oppression, uncertainty and legal and social vulnerability that LGBTQI asylum seekers may experience, and-being present in different asylum political contexts and cooperating with others who work with asylum and/or LGBTQI issues.As volunteer within the educational sector of Newcomers, I am involved in short writing articles focusing specifically on LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and/or refugees from a critical, but well informed lens. Moreover, I conduct research on possible educational events such as lectures, panels etc. which may enrich and contribute to the understanding of LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and refugees and their everyday struggles, positionalities, rights and coping mechanisms in Sweden. Moreover, I provide, with the help of the team, safe spaces for Newcomers members to express and share their experiences.

Representing students' needs, concerns and academic interests within the Master Program in International Migration and Ethnic Relations at Malmö University. Continuous engagement with peers' perspectives vis-à-vis course contents, teaching methods, available (academic) resources, exams etc. Participation in meetings with academic staff/instructors/coordinators to discuss issues brought forward by students and/or diverse topics of interest pertaining to the program.

Project organizer of the student-led Queer Migration Seminar held at Copenhagen University (AMIS Student Conference:Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity: a Conference on Queer perspectives on Migration, link: https://amis.ku.dk/calendar/2023/amis-student-conference/). Set up the content and the schedule of the project/seminar, liaised with prospective event holders and academic staff, responsible for external and internal communication, created presentations to be held at the seminar, quality control, facilitated the sessions during the seminar.

Human Rights Coordinator for Malmö Pride, responsible for the selection of event holders, further research on organizations/individuals proposing human rights-based events, administrative tasks, coordinating time and place of events within the program, communication with the event holders. Reinforced my commitment to inclusivity and gave me the opportunity to witness the intersections of gender expression, identity, nationality and class.

English teacher, development of course curricula, independent execution of English lessons (emphasis on speaking and correct grammar usage), regular progress assessment. Taught children as well as adult professionals.
