By connecting educators, nonprofits and entrepreneurs, Nextech delivers educational programs and work-based learning experiences to inspire and enable students from all backgrounds to pursue careers in technology. Founded in 2011, the ExactTarget Foundation was the private philanthropic arm of digital marketing technology giant ExactTarget. From its inception through 2014, the foundation awarded organizations more than $410,000 to reduce childhood hunger, increase education and fuel entrepreneurship. -- Constructed a comprehensive grantmaking program, including application, vetting and oversight process-- Devised program to inspire and enable nonprofits to harness the power of technology to accelerate the impact of their initiatives. Heavy focus on data driven and digital marketing solutions.-- Forged strategic relationships with business, civic, government and nonprofit leaders to identify and assess the community’s biggest challenges.

Salesforce.com acquired ExactTarget in July 2013. Now a fully-integrated part of the Salesforce.com family, its market-leading, cloud-based suite of digital marketing solutions – the Salesforce Marketing Cloud delivers digital communications across email, mobile, social, advertising and the web.During my tenure with the combined organizations, I held a number of product management / product marketing roles (summarized below). Key accomplishments included:- Executed all facets of custom development project, which included 3 enterprise applications - for one of ExactTarget’s 5 largest customers. Responsibilities included requirements gathering, rapid iteration of wireframes, functional definition, development task management and release planning.- Drove all discovery, design and functional definition activities for newly formed business unit focused on easy to use email marketing solutions deployed through third-party vendors with user bases in excess of 1,000- Facilitating the migration of thousands of standalone application users to the ExactTarget Interactive Marketing Hub.Ongoing responsibilities included:- Served as product evangelist, interfacing with internal and external constituents, including: development, user experience engineers, quality assurance, product marketing, project management, customer advisory board and industry analysts.- Facilitated and implemented recommendations regarding product development, packaging, pricing and channel strategies- Led team of product marketing managers responsible for pricing, product positioning, competitive analysis, sales tools and industry relationsThe following are the various technical roles I held during my combined time at ExactTarget and Salesforce Marketing Cloud:- Principal Product Manager (March 2012 - November 2014)- Product Strategy Manager (November 2010 - February 2012)- Director, Product Marketing (January 2004 - January 2008; June 2009 - October 2010)
