Asghar khan has grown up in a radicalized tribal setup and has very closely seen the miseries faced by tribal communities in Balochistan, which has given hype to extremism and liberation movements. He started campaigns to overcome these threatening narratives, those campaigns yielded in shape of four different profitable and non-profitable ventures i.e. DEWA Foundation, The Joycation, Food Republic and Da Pohaanu Café.DEWA Foundation is basically a non-profit, charitable, Educational foundation which is financed by local contributions of well to do members of the society. The basic focus of this foundation is to educate the most disadvantaged and radicalized sections of tribal areas. To sustain DEWA in the face of financial constraints, he has planned to establish couple of profitable ventures a preschool with the name of ”The Joycation”, in the metropolitan city in 2017, and a fast food restaurant with the name of Food Republic in 2018 in Quetta city. When it comes to politics, he believes that no state or people can ever progress and keep pace with developed world if its youth remain apolitical. To make a difference politically, he sat up “Da Pohaanu café” it’s a Pashto word mean The Intellectuals Café, which promotes the core values of Democracy, Peace, Non-Violence, Global Citizenship, Good Governance and commits itself to become a vibrant center of Balochistan, Pakistan’s developing civil society.Asghar Khan is an Activist for Peace and Love, Social Entrepreneur, and an Educationist; He is a nominee for Nelson Mandela Award 2017, an Acumen Fellow 2016, Seeds of Peace Gather Fellow 2019, Charles Wallace Fellow 2019 and winner of The Rising Rhino Award.
