HIV/AIDS Clinic In-Charge, Kalisizo Hospital, Kyotera District, 08/2021-PresentTechnical Roles • Provides clinical care in conjunction with other team members and sets example in seeing clients. • Provides technical support, mentor-ship and performance feedback to ART clinic staff and other medical providers • Constitutes and oversees activities of the clinical team to ensure members meet set targets • Ensures that staff adhere to and operate according to current national and international guidelines for HIV • Ensuring effective implementation of static and outreach HIV services • Attends medical provider meetings to discuss difficult cases of HIV clients, perform medical major and minor proceduresSupervisory Responsibilities • Supervises Clinical Officers, Nurse in Charge, nurses, Pharmacy Technicians, Laboratory Technicians among others • Ensuring availability of stocks, medical consumables and supplies including accounting for the utilization, proper management and maintenance of HIV medical supplies and equipment of the ART clinic.• Set key result areas (KRA), performance goals, reviews and appraisals for the staff below.Leadership and Management • Leads annual planning, budgeting, implementation, and on-going review of HIV performance targets for the HIV clinic. • Builds and maintains collaboration with key stakeholders and implementing partners involved in HIV service delivery in the hospital i.e Rakai Health Sciences Program, Uganda Cares etc.• Ensures timely compilation of accountability and stipulated periodic reports including the monthly and quarterly report to partners and Ministry of Health• Organizes and chairs operational and other relevant meetings at the ART clinic and fosters team functionality

Carried out clinical evaluation, management, referral and follow-up of patients on both outpatient and inpatient basis.Participated in planning, administration and budgeting activities of the health facility.Accounted for allocated resources in form of drugs, funds and equipment.Managed the administrative process of patients' discharge including insurance bills, claims, revenue collection in the private clinic.Compiled and submitted of weekly monthly and quarterly reports to the concerned authority of governments, related to birth, death and other communicable diseases.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical management of study participants: Responsible for ensuring participants receive appropriate care and medical evaluations.Ensure participant safety evaluation, monitoring and reporting: Alerting the PIs and sponsors of any serious adverse events that may occur in the course of the study.Identify participants’ problems and assist in formulating mitigating plans.Study documents completion.Specimen or sample collection.Participate in study document quality control.Develop recruitment and retention plans, ensures that the recruitment and follow-up goals of the study are met.Performs any other duties that may be reasonably necessary for carrying out the study protocol as directed by the Principal Investigator.
