The team played a strategic role in the brand launches - which was critical considering Target launched 52 new owened brands in one single year to establish itself as market leader in the big box retail space.- Led various intrapneurial innovation projects including implementation of chat bot implementation for automation of inventory trouble shooting for pilot departments in test markets

    I raised three kids in the 6 years break. I wrote a lot, mostly to make sense of my diminishing sense of self. I also consulted in a few startups on flexible schedules on projects that excite me and are my strength - branding, product marketing, go-to-market plans, hiring and setting up of client/ customer servicing teams. I also researched alternative ways of education - ranging from homeschooling to radial unschooling, from Montessori to Reggio Emilia. Later I spent a year as the parent counsellor in a child centered Reggio Emilia school called The Atelier for families who want to parent in a child led philosophy. I think the 6 years spent in attending to a home of 3 infants and learning to raise them in ways that challenged the narrative, has been my biggest time of growth. The journey of understanding the sense of self was initiated during this time , and that clarity has served me whenever I needed to take decisions. I have traversed slow, but that has ensured I am on the direction that I want to be.

Responsible for people management - recruitment , performance, talent development and retention.The XBOX engagement was specifically involved in improving customer experience. The analytical insights of the team was a direct feeder to improving customer experience by offering better recommendations to customers during calls to the support center. This proved to be a very exciting project, especially given the interesting world of gaming. The experience of managing this project exposed me to the world of gaming, behavior of people who use XBOX extensively, buying patterns, spending patterns of customers, and ofcourse the impact of the Customer Service Team on the spending pattern of clients. The tools used - excel, R, SQL.Global Management Office [GMO] engagement was in transition phase. My role involved transitioning knowledge from the outgoing vendor to Mu Sigma, documentation and bringing up the team on business knowledge. This also involved rigorous interactions with client and vendor, across different levels.

This was a bold attempt in ensuring the principles of conscious consumption – fair wages, eco-friendly dyes, dying practices, natural fibres. Quickly realised that contemporary design and access to working capital were crucial for success of the platform. Extended the concept to a co-creation platform between independent designers and artisan groups and onboarded micro-credit partners. Lead a team of 20 across offices in Guwahati & Bangalore and co-ordinated with multiple angel investors, while being responsible for the day to day running of the company, customer acquisition, brand building marketing communications and design.*Raised funds from Angels, negotiated and co-ordinated with investors on funding, resolutions, deals and other company matters.*Scouted, trained and brought on to the platform over 500 artisans from the North East.* Implemented complex order fulfilment process from remote villages in North East to the cities of India*Negotiated partnerships and barters with organizations in the craft space : Crafts Council of India, Fair Trade India.* Execution model for business goes a long way vs aid.
