I was recently promoted to the position of cost manager under the Kolon Global Corporation Ruwanwella Water Supply Project.I have carried out following responsibilities in this position Overall cost management of the projects in the post-contract stage, including payment verification and recommendation, managing the change control process and assisting in evaluating of claims.Preparation of monthly cost reports.Identification of potential variations and claims.Involve with the Value Engineering process.Provide commercial inputs to the client.Execute PS packages by nominated subcontractors.Highlight any red flag inefficiencies, Contractual issues, Potential commercial issues of the project and advice on solutions.

I have worked as an MEP Quantity Surveyor on this project, and the following responsibilities were carried out during my service period.- Preparation of Variation claims for Structural, Architectural including Fit-Out, Landscape and MEP works (FIDIC 1999)- Preparation of additional cost claims and Extension of Time (EOT) claims- Contractual Notices, letters and other contractual correspondences drafting related to Variations and Claims- Preparation of Interim Payment Application (IPA) including work done monitoring, material at site calculations and Tax reimbursement claims handling- Sub-Contractor selection, negotiation on contractual matters and evaluation of sub-contractor’s Variations and IPAs- Negotiation with Engineer to the Contract for valuation of IPAs, Variations and Claims Taking-off quantities with Principles of Measurement (POMI)- Preparation of detail rate break downs and rate analysis for valuations- Working with a Project collaboration and online project
