As Climate Change Adaptation intern and later contract support, Kale served in climate finance analyst functions, reviewing Green Climate Fund and Global Environment Facility processes while contributing to proposal development. He served on missions to Thailand and Bangladesh to scope sustainable livelihood projects.

Buri Ram, Thailand

Serving in the rural Northeast "Issan" region of Thailand, Kale's primary projects were building home-scale biogas digesters and implementing a school recycling center. His secondary project recorded the carbon-storage capacity of his village's community forest as part of REDD+ program readiness.

Eureka, CA

Administering a direct-install program for LED open signs, Kale provided energy efficiency education to approximately 500 small businesses across a Northern California county and developed an LED holiday lighting exchange program.

Arcata, CA

Coordinated stakeholder engagment for demonstrable energy savings through energy efficiency within the California State University campus system. Led project proposal development for a sports stadium relighting and delivered technical workshops across California.
