I am a Consultant Urologist and a Urological Researcher at WCSH, a leading hospital in the southern region of Ethiopia. I provide clinical service and conduct research on various urological topics, such as renal anomalies, urological emergencies, stone disease, urology resident training and urologic cancer. I have a strong educational background in Urology, having completed my Postgraduate Specialty Training from St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College in Dec 2022, where I served as a Chief Resident and gained hands-on experience in Open surgery, Endourology and Basic Laparoscopy. I also participated in several international training programs and clinical visits, such as the EAU Kidney Transplant Masterclass in Spain, the EUREP hands-on training in Endourology in Prague, and the Uro-oncology Clinical Visit Fellow at Cologne University in Germany. I am passionate about advancing the field of Urology and improving the quality of care for patients with urological conditions. I am an active member of several international urological societies, such as the EAU, the AUA, BAUS and the BURST working group. I have published multiple research and case report articles in reputable journals, such as Dove Press and Elsevier. I aspire to widen the scope of Urology in Ethiopia as well as Africa and contribute to the global urological community.
