• Design and update CAD working model of RFTSat. • Design and test mounting and arrangement of custom components such that RFTSat will pass Vibration and Thermal tests. • Design an automated door latching mechanism for the satellite with capability to function in space.• Run simulations to design satellite to meet space qualifications using Solidworks and Nastran.• Design and Mill custom parts for satellite using HAAS CNC machine.• RFTSat Communication Lead: Manage communications with partnering companies and research teams: Near Space Launch, Composite Technology Development, Georgia Tech Research team.• Create and present Design Reviews (PDR, CDR, MRR) showcasing RFTSat.*Project funded through NASA space grant and Engineering Department of Northwest Nazarene University
