I am a highly educated public servant, having completed a Masters in International Studies at Otago University. This was an intensive programme of postgraduate coursework and research, with my dissertation being written on comparing the impact of the Global Financial Crisis with the impact of Covid-19 on New Zealand’s international trade. I am looking for full time employment, preferably in an area that fulfils my interest in international politics, international relations and global economics. I have a keen interest in all things international and a passion for making a positive difference in the world. I spent my childhood growing up in the nation of Cambodia where my parents worked in health and development work as the population recovered from years of civil war and genocide, and this helped to sensitise me to issues of global poverty, inequity and the impact of international politics on smaller nations. I attended a French medium international school, meaning I grew up interacting with young people from many different nationalities, cultures and language groups, and I believe this has resulted in me having a broad and multinational view of the world. In 2010 my family and I moved to Dunedin in Aotearoa/New Zealand, where I currently live and work.
