I chose this employment with a desire to increase my non-technical skill set, including quick problem solving, perseverance, attention to detail, customer relations, tenacity and team work. With opportunities to prove my workmanship, I have learnt that finishing the job properly matters, regardless of the extra time and effort required. My role taught me the importance of quality control and how important quality is to the safety management sphere. Safety and quality both play key roles in ensuring smooth operations, and my experiences on a fast-paced assembly line demonstrated how easy it is to overlook errors. Working 8 hour rotating shifts, this role taught me to work independently, managing high workload and fatigue, demanding clear communications in a loud environment.• Worked independently, ensuring quality control of various products on a fast paced assembly line.• Cleaned equipment and workspace at conclusion of each shift.• Worked a rotating roster, including night shift, requiring punctuality and long hours of standing.• Communicated clearly with systems engineers regarding machine faults and errors.• Used attention to detail and technical knowledge, performing product assessment on faulty bottles.• Shift hours enabled me to work around an accelerated degree workload.• Provided funds for my Glider Solo Quest at Darling Downs Soaring Club.
