I was born on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland in 1980. I graduated with a B.Sc. Honours degree in Optoelectronics and Laser Engineering from Heriot Watt University in 2002 and went on to do an M.Sc. at The University of St Andrews, before completing my PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) in Physics at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. I taught in Scotland before moving out to the Middle East and have taught Physics since 2006 at IGCSE, AS and A level.
