I am happy to start officially offering speech and language services at the UCF Communication Disorders Clinic. I have worked in the UCF intensive reading (iREAD) program. I created lesson plans using structured activities focusing on contextual reading, phonemic awareness, vowel sounds, digraphs, orthographic expectancies, decoding, and encoding. Along with having my own client, I collaborate with other clinicians engaging in group activities with the clients. I have experience in utilizing and programming an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device, specifically TouchChat with WordPower. A multi-modal communication approach was used with aided language modeling. I have provided gender-affirming voice care introducing voice terminology and utilizing SOVT tasks. Currently, I am expanding my knowledge and expertise in aphasia by providing language, cognitive, and phonological treatment to an individual with aphasia. Along with that, I am providing articulation therapy for older elementary focusing on specific speech sounds. With all of these experiences and what is to come, I am excited to expand my clinical expertise and knowledge!

Co-advise Volunteer UCF and Alternative Break Program along with the supervisor to put on small-scale and large-scale service events, ranging from 2 hours to week-long service trips. Led a service trip with the student coordinator to Vero Beach, FL, assisting with conversation efforts and maintenance for a week. Transported the students in a van to and from the service site, housing, grocery stores, and to and from Orlando.

Greet people, provide answers to questions, and assist with any other needs in the office. Complete administration tasks delegated by the coordinator and assistant director in the office.

Lead events such as crafts and games for kids with autism and other related disorders. Provided ways to learn and utilize social and life skills in real-life settings.
