• Advanced workflow within two Emergency Departments through real-time documentation of physician-patient encounters.• Accompanied physicians into patient examination rooms to accurately transcribe all applicable patient history, physical exam findings, and procedures into an Electronic Medical Record.• Accurately entered physician dictations, radiology results, laboratory findings, and prescriptions into EMR.• Trained and educated new on-boarding scribes with knowledge of hospital and EMR system - providing regular and constructive feedback to continue improving their quality of work.

I aided in personal care for 500+ children and adults with chronic diseases and/or disabilities ranging from autism and Down syndrome to cerebral palsy and spina bifida while coordinating with recreational therapy interns to assist in setting social and independence goals for campers. I also learned a variety of medical procedures such as MONTIs, MACEs, and G-tube feeds and facilitated therapeutic activities such as art, music, water, and equine therapy.
