My initial role at Verb was to build a clinical engineering team to support the design and testing of the Verb Surgical System. My vision was to build an integrated team to drive user centered design. In the past four years I have been able to achieve this vision. I have created a multi-faceted team of clinical engineers, human factors engineers, industrial designers, medical advisers, pre-clinical researchers and operations in support of the Verb Surgical and Digital Platforms. My teams mission has been to drive all aspects of user centered design from research through post-market, provide a company wide learning environment on the importance of workflow driven design, and maintain a culture of healthy work-life balance.

I lead a team of clinical engineering and medical professionals tasked with transforming research projects into mainstream products to aid in the diagnosis of lung cancer.

I was responsible for exploration of new surgical applications for the da Vinci portfolio and future robotic technologies. During this time I collaborated closely with medical professionals from all areas of medicine and all areas of the world. I supported them with developing new surgical approaches prepare them for for clinical studies. I also collaborated with small and large business teams of engineers, regulatory, legal, clinical affairs, marketing, and 3rd party companies to push product innovations forward from infancy to final product stages. These product pathways ranged from creation of basic research tools to IDE's, Pre-submissions and 510K's.

I was trained under the 510K submission and launch of the da Vinci Surgical Si system. I drove surgical Applications for Head and Neck Procedures: TORS for cancer, investigations in Skull Base and Sleep Apnea, Assisted in applications for Robotic Gynocology Procedures: Endometriosis. As a Clinical Engineering Lead I support teams working on: basic robotic instruments and accessories, Vessel Sealing technology, Laser Introducing Instrumentation, Scanlan Bulldog Collaboration for use in Radical Nephrectomy Procedures and Stapler Instrumentation and da Vinci Single Site technology

R&D engineer for early intervention knees implants including: Uni, Bi-uni, and Patella-femoral. Lead continuing engineer for Shoulder Implants.

Managed a lab of 13 undergrads and 5 grad students studying the biomechanics of orthopedic Implants using Kane's Dynamics and Fluoroscopic imaging.

Ran ISO and ASTM standard saftey test on helmets (bike, football, skiing, etc).

Developed mathematical models to determine geometrical determinants in hip fractures of elderly women.
