Launched AnswerThis in partnership with Nielsen; a low-tech research tool designed for hard to reach communities, resulting in thousands of non-desktop users being able to answer brand surveys.Launched Digital Advertising Agency in partnership with EXP that combined live events with a digital (usually mobile) to deliver a unique brand experience across several markets. This resulted in working with international brands in countries such as Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria and South Africa.

In 2011, my company, Spoken Ink, partnered with EXP to create EXP Digi; A Live + Digital agency that served to provide clients with concepts for digital activations. This period saw my team and I work in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa as we sought usher in digital interactions (mostly mobile) to live activations. Highlights included creating a digital campaign to educate girls about the importance of Family Planning (with USAID and EXP Social) as well as the launch of a rapid survey digital platform called AnswerThis.

Founder And CeoSpoken Ink Feb 2005 - Jan 2010Spoken Ink was started in 2005 when I had just finished high school. Initially we printed a nationally distributed youth magazine called WarCry. This attracted renowned advertisers as well as a diverse following of students, parents, teachers and athletes. In 2008/9 Spoken In launched the first mobile driving school in South Africa. In partnership with McCarthy Motors (sponsors) - we distributed made-for-mobile educational content to nearly 200 000 learner-drivers. This became the 2nd most consumed mobile content on Mxit - SAs premier mobile platform - for that year.This led to rinsing and repeating the model for various social needs. Step 1 - We would find a need felt by people aged 18 - 35. Step 2 - We would meet that need with branded made-for-mobile content. As a result we worked with brands like Proctor and Gamble, Cell C, Foschini, and others to address the youth market in a way that met business objectives. In 2010 - Spoken Ink created the Moombah brand; led by myself and Chad Cunningham. The brand used mobile to meet social needs while directly addressing brand objectives.In 2011, Spoken Ink partnered with EXP to create EXP Digi. A Live + Digital agency that served to provide clients with concepts for digital activations.
