Research work, experimenting and tuning up into practice with ALCOA AD group for solving the problems specially commissioned. The research group reporting to Institute of nonferrous metallurgy of Plovdiv worked on the technical problems as:• Research trials for producing new deformable and fit to hot treatment alloys of aluminum, with higher mechanical properties, to be introduced in the industrial practice of the Shumen Aluminum Plant “ALCOMET AD“.• Design and implementation into operation a cooling LN2 installation to the extrusion dies in the process of extrusion.• System for direct hardening in the extrusion line for high strength, half finished pressed aluminum products as bars, tubes and profiles.• Study over the influence of different technological factors for the quality of the shaping the outer surface of precise profiles during the process of extrusion of different aluminum alloys and analysis of the different type of defects of extruded half finished products based on different extrusion parameters including the chemical composition of the alloy, microstructures, phases, and final mechanical characteristics.• The application of aluminum alloys from the commercial systems: Al - Fe - Si, Al - Mn and Al - Si for manufacturing of rolled products, sheets and fine foils.
