As a veterinary assistant I take rooms according to which doctor I'm assigned to that day, first I go over history with the client to see what symptoms the patient are experiencing and if they've had any medical issues in the past. I then get vital signs such as temperature, respiratory rate, and pulse. After going over the history with client I then go to the doctor and explain why the patient is here, after the doctor speaks with the client we then go over a treatment plan to see what would be best to treat the patient. We then complete any necessary treatments for the patient.
