I am delighted to have taken on an ambitious new challenge by moving to the Real Estate, Logistics & Physical Security Division (RELPS) within Pictet Group. Here I have two responsibilities, first as Head of the newly created Client Hospitality Department, and second as Head of Communication for RELPS with a primary focus on the once in a lifetime Campus Pictet de Rochemont project. Creating a memorable moment is essential for our clients, and I am proud to be working with a Michelin starred Chef and a prize winning Sommelier alongside teams of the utmost professionalism for Reception, Telephony, and Event Logistics. Providing unique experiences establishes an emotional connection that grounds the partnerships we strive to nurture.These two new roles are in the continuity of my career, which has always been about putting the client’s needs first through communication and federation. The key new challenges for me are scale, with my department comprising nearly a hundred people in four locations, and the incredibly broad range of disciplines with which I now interface.One of the great strengths of Pictet is our diversity and I am proud that we speak with one voice but with several accents, and that we can express, varied opinions without falling into fragmentation. This diversity is nowhere more apparent than in our vibrant staff networks, and I remain extremely proud of the role I played in founding and growing the Pictet Women’s NetworkMy career continues to be directed and focused, while retaining a non-negligible touch of non-linearity:My university studies were in condensed-matter physics,I founded a family (my daughter is now at ETH in biomedical science)I started at Pictet as a quantitative assistant (no surprise),I needed space for my Down Syndrome son (an unexpected gift).I swapped figures for words with the PWM Economist team,I blended numbers and letters to make the message accessible,I am now focused on our holistic value proposition for client experience and our working environmentOn a more personal note, I have always loved painting and wish I had the discipline to devote more time to creation. For me two incredible names are Ferdinand Hodler and Tamara de Lempicka, and I was lucky enough to go to the exhibition of Zao Wou-Ki in Martigny a few years ago. Outstanding. At the moment my free time seems rather absorbed by golf!
