Reduced shrink 40% from previous year as of annual inventory. Provided world-class customer service, trained and oversaw employees on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

In charge of turnaround operations for this home furnishings store with annual store sales of $1.4M. Increased sales over 25% within 6 months, was regularly one of the top US salespeople. Hired and trained employees, supervised sales floor, organized and maintained stockroom. Strictly monitored inventory levels and loss prevention, reduced shrink by 50%. Performed extensive accounting functions; closely tracked financial data.

Managed this upscale resale store run by a large not-for-profit AIDS organization. This store won a 2004 Small Business Award from the City of New York. Hired and trained employees and recruited volunteers, organized and publicized fundraising events. Identified merchandise including rare antiques, created displays, organized supplies/services. Maintained and audited extensive accounting and bookkeeping system, including formulating and tracking the annual store budget of $1.6M.

Owned and operated a company which provided custom painted and decorative finishes to residential and commercial clients. Hired and supervised a crew of artists, designed and produced artwork and concepts. Bid all jobs, met with clients, procured supplies, and worked closely with designers and other tradespeople.
