I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to act in this role for a five month period, giving me invaluable experience and insight to the everyday mechanics of Local government on a senior and executive level. I worked closely with the City's leadership team to develop and deliver strategic solutions to meet the City's overarching organisational goals to serve the community.Other than managing output of the Communications, Marketing and Events business unit, role responsibilities during this time included management of brand strategy, delivery of crisis and incident communications plans, contentious media management, provision of strategic, integrated positive communications and marketing plans, corporate affairs management and influencing senior level stakeholders to improve business unit outcomes.

Brought on board to manage the health service's website, over time I earned a creative license that enabled me to deliver a host of digital and online initiatives and improvements, as well as the delivery of a new brand!I successfully delivered a new website for the health service, overseeing all components from visual design and journey mapping to content development and external and internal communications plans to support the launch of the new site.One of the projects I am most proud of is the development and implementation of the Perth Children's Hospital Patient Entertainment System user experience where I had the opportunity to work directly with users of bedside entertainment (kids!) to deliver a fun, age appropriate and easy to use interface to suit the needs of users of all ages and abilities. While at the Child and Adolescent Health Service, I also developed and implemented to Health Service's brand and visual identity. After gaining executive buy-in, I was responsible for logo development, implementing a new brand book and style guide and rolling our the new brand internally and externally. Linking closely to the Health Service's vision and values, provision of brand guides, templates and tools and engaging with employees and key stakeholders ensured successful brand adoption throughout the organisation.
