Responsible for the design, planning, operation, security, and day to day management of the City’s network, servers, switches, network connected devices, and all data communications with entities outside the City. This is a senior level position, and involves substantial responsibility for the overall health, operations, and security of all computer networks and servers on City systems. This position is expected to plan for and solve the most complex network and server issues that may become present.

Served as the Information Technology Director/Senior Network Administrator for all k-12 learning academies managed and serviced by Charter School Associates. Oversees, plans, develops, and maintains an exemplary and visionary technology program to support excellence in education. Provides leadership in the development of innovative plans to improve the technology services and support to the staff and educators. Monitors and evaluates emerging technologies to help determine the relevance of technological advances in future administrative and educational applications. Works with administrators and staff to periodically review and revise the continuous improvement plan as it relates to technology.

* Combined hands-on leadership style with excellent technical skills to operate as the Technology Director and lead Network Engineer/Database Administrator.* Migrated the Town's ERP functions from an AS400/HTE platform to a SQL back-end resulting in a $1MM savings.* Virtualized and migrated server farm & internal storage creating a cloud computing architecture allowing for server consolidation, fault tolerance, hardware savings, and network redundancy using EqualLogic SANs & VMWare. * Replaced tape backup with disk-to-disk-to-tape backup and disaster recovery utilizing data de-duplication and offsite replication to ensure business continuity and reduced backup and data recovery costs.* Complete overhaul of the network backbone to include dual, redundant Cisco blade core routers. Replaced backbone fiber network - replacing a 100mb sonnet ring with a 1 GB MetroE circuit at all outlaying facilities. * Replaced multiple PBX phone systems, consolidating into a Cisco Call Manager VOIP with Unity allowing for greater flexibility in emergencies and enhanced service capacity & compatibility. * Implemented full scale, automated monitoring systems to alert the IT staff of impending failures, system outages, and security breaches; ensuring all of the information and data is secure and kept confidential.* Recommended IT plans and budgets to Administration by being thoroughly familiar with rapid changes in the information technology environment and tailoring those technologies to the needs of the Town. * Directed the development and implementation of policies, regulations, and programs that support the coordination and growth of progressive, efficient and cost effective information and telecommunication services.* Managed complex projects that further the long term objectives of the Town by monitoring specific project results. Handled crisis situations to ensure all systems were operational as soon as possible to avoid excessive down time.

* Primary Network Administrator for all physical and virtual servers supporting the public safety divisions, departmental apps and data, financial and credit card systems, and the County's Internet presence to include public inquiry systems.* Primary Database Administrator for all County databases. * Instrumental in the ERP conversion of the County's primary databases (all Tax & Property Records) from a Unisys mainframe to a SQL back-end system. Managed the conversion project from a DBA perspective to include database file layouts, data translations strings, and subsequent final documentation. Responsible for the creation, design and management of end user data reports using Crystal Reports, Crystal reports Server and later Microsoft SQL SSRS.* Responsible for planning, recommending, researching, pricing, and arranging procurement for innovative technology solutions. Developed and presented system proposals for cost effective technology solutions. * Installed hardware, software, and network infrastructure; diagnosed complex trouble calls.* Highest level of end user support - complex and hard to solve issues forwarded to my level for resolution.* Conducted end user training and computer orientation for supervisory and upper level management.* Coordinated mobile user networks incl cellular to wifi, mobile field operations, messaging to mobile platforms.* Managed junior associates; provide training and support to keep operations running smoothly.
