After transition of the Engineering ownership to India, this program was gone through a complete makeover. Switching from traditional waterfall model development model to Squads based microservice (refactored) with end to end automated DevOps pipeline. Number of releases spiraled up from 10/year to 170/year and escalations has taken downward trend from 10 odd to zero in a month. Team comprised of 50 odd Engineers spread across 6 different countries, with an experience in the range of 2 yrs to 30 yrs. Impact: Geography expansion (from 2 to 5) and accounts from (800+ to 1500+). Total investment jumped by 108% YoY. For better quality and agility, we improved the automation from 78 to 98%¥ As a Release Manager for JazzSM Install & Reporting services, delivered the content for 1.1.2.0 and 1.1.2.1 releases¥ As a WW JazzSM L3 Manager for the maiden release of JazzSM 1.1, my contribution was to establish the L3 process and team worldwide. This newly formed team was globally located (multiple locations in US & India) has successfully handled about 239 customer PMRs and 19 APARs with good c-sat¥ Managed the delivery 10 Fixpacks of the Deployment Engine (common component used by about 30+ products). Successfully adopted community model to beat the staffing challenges. Also instrumental in pulling down Customer incidents by 7% and problems by 75%. This was achieved by addressing the concerns highlighted by the root cause analysis on historical data. Team has also achieved 45% reduction in Fixpack cycle by prioritizing and getting a RQM & STAX based test automation in place.
