My duties included all aspects of restaurant management, food control, quality check, team building, sales for functions, banquet set-up, and creating a good work space for my team. My duties were to ensure quality food in a buffet-style restaurant, with little product loss. Due to the waste from customers, we maintained the loss by keeping the food on the hot and cold bar in correct ratio to the amount of guests that were in house, or were expected, referencing the last year's data.I was in charge of training and inspiring team members to create the best guest service that they knew how, and where there was a lack of knowledge, I provided team support.I made sure that all members were up on the latest hospitality news and information, so that they could be the best at what they did. We focused on being the 'Front Line', and for many, this was their first time understanding the concept. I had a great team, before I left. My other duties were maintaining the store back to front, closing, opening, staffing, reporting to the Regional Manager weekly. Our store was number three for sales, and P&L statements were consistently in the top ten. I created promotions to generate more sales, such as price fixed menus on certain days that were historically slower, and this promotional program made our revenue go up significantly on those days. I was recognized in the company for outstanding new sales numbers.
