-> Drafted and submitted a grant proposal for a pilot study designed to assess a novel transitional care support paradigm for families with preterm infants.-> Prepared a manuscript for publication describing the protocol for the pilot study.

-> Managed activities related to health protection, including nosocomial infections, HIV, and infection control policies.-> Worked on a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) paper on health protection in the Bedford Borough Council, covering such topics as childhood immunizations, infectious disease screening, sexual health, Hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, and healthcare-associated infections (HCAI).-> Generated an infection prevention and control manual for primary care, secondary care,community care, and social services.-> Completed a performance review document highlighting activities, timelines, and achievements of the Health Protection Unit during 2013-2014.

-> Conducted two evidence reviews to assess the role (if any) of the use of probiotics and proton pump inhibitors in preventing and causing C. difficile infections in patients, which informed policy making among the clinical commissioning group. Based on evidence, concluded there was no immediate link.

Performed extensive literature reviews on HIV and comorbidities, including CVDs, diabetes, stroke,and chronic kidney disease to extract parameters for an ongoing mathematical modelling project; the parameterised model and results were published in Lancet Infectious Diseases.

Conducted literature review on HIV, cardiovascular diseases, and disease progression in the Sub-Saharan African population to construct a disease progression model and extract data. Prepared adirected acyclic graph (DAG) diagram for HIV and CVD progression based on the literature reviews.

Investigated role of clathrin heavy chain in spindle positioning in the one-cell stage C. elegans embryo.Led experiments that measured cortical forces in chc-1(RNAi) embryos during centration/rotation andspindle positioning; immunofluorescence experiments that assessed distribution of cortical forcegenerators in chc-1(RNAi) embryos and live imaging of cortical acto-myosin network in chc-1(RNAi)embryos. Results were published in Development.

Under the guidance of Professor MRS Rao.Generated a fusion protein GFP-TP2 (Green Fluorescent Protein-Transition Protein-2). Presented my results at the ‘BioVision 2003’ Symposium, held in Hyderabad during January 24-25, 2003 and was awarded the First Prize.
