Hi, I am Kalyn Mussa, a dedicated university student on a path to a BBA in Finance at the esteemed C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. Born in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, my journey has been marked by unique experiences. I grew up in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya, where my family continues to reside, and, a place I hold near and dear to my heart. Furthermore, I had the privilege of completing my final two years of high school in the United Kingdom, specifically in the historic city of Oxford. In addition to my academic pursuits, I'm an active and engaged student at the University of Houston. I'm involved in several organizations, including ABSA (Asian Business Society), URES (Undergraduate Real Estate Scholars), the Pre-Law Society, and the Chess Club, which allow me to foster both personal and professional connections. My interests extend beyond academics and business into the world of sports and outdoor activities. I have achieved remarkable milestones in chess, representing Kenya in international championships, and I am also a certified PADI Open-Water Diver.  Giving back to the community is essential to me. I have volunteered with organizations such as the Houston Food Bank and contributed significantly to conservation efforts in Kenya, including funding a borehole for savannah habitats, building greenhouses, and planting indigenous trees in national parks.My diverse background and educational pursuits have fueled my passion for knowledge and skill development and I look forward to connecting with like-minded professionals and exploring exciting opportunities in the field.
