As an upcoming graduate into the field of Medical Laboratory Science, I am eagerly looking for work in the field. I have worked for the past two years as a Laboratory Technician in the greater Baltimore area, which has given me valuable clinical laboratory experience. My Bachelors program allowed us to spend our entire senior year taking classes and completing lab work in Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, allowing us access to patient samples and updated laboratory equipment, as well as professors with positions there or a hospital in the surrounding areas. My clinical rotations have been completed in Sinai Hospital for all but Blood Banking, which will be completed at John Hopkins. Throughout my two years as a Laboratory Technician at Northwest Hospital, I have gained valuable experience that will enable me to excel post graduation. I have seen first hand the operation of a clinical laboratory in a public health crisis and have gained the skills to modify and adjust everyday operations to accommodate the needs of staff and supply chain shortages.
