    Contract: District Cooling System (DCS) at Kai Tak Development – Water Pipe Laying Works• Installation of two 1000mm diameter and one 500mm diameter pre-insulated steel pipes distributing cooling capacity in the form of chilled water from a central plant to multiple buildings. Responsible for supervising the Contractor’s work and handling changes throughout the site under the guidance of the PM’s representative.• Although the project faced a material shortage and health challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I coordinated the design with the Contractor’s resources to develop proposals and minimize risks and delays.• Planned, reviewed and innovated the pipe laying works throughout the site by means of proposing a traceable record to allocate any lapsed cable connection and reducing humidity to improve PU insulation performance.• Throughout inspection and communication, I was able to propose an alternative valve chamber design to the project with a cost saving of CA$ 32K and a faster construction period (provided a float time of 30-day).
