Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
NVT is a niche terminal development outfit based in Malaysia with projects around the Southeast Asia and South Pacific region. We cover terminal development, management and operations as well as consultancy roles in port development. For NVT I focus mostly on the cruise sector, although the company also covers cargo ports. For cruise, I identify potential new cruise destinations or review requests to develop them. For each potential destination, I determine the technical and market viability and propose possible solutions. I also establish base projections to enable business modelling of any such solution, and from that point on work with reputable engineering and design firms to fully realise the new project.
Subang Jaya
I've long noticed that a holistic understanding of branding and corporate communications is very much lacking in Malaysia. Often, communications and branding projects fail at the 'Why' stage - not much thought put into it. Creatives often are happy to produce output just to please the customer even if they know the the design is inappropriate. You get good design for a poor strategy, copywriting that emphasises verbosity rather than meaning, copied logos because they are cheap, brochures that don't get to the point... the list is endless.Since I understand what is good from both the corporate perspective and the creative perspective, I realised that I had an opportunity to put this balanced skillset to good use. I'm more than happy to take on interesting communications projects and provide the maximum input I can exceeding what is required, from simple identity designs to copywriting to full-fledged rebranding work.
