Kamal Dua’s qualifications are rather unique and uncommon – he is a Master Mariner and also holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. Kamal sailed on ships, lastly as the Master of “Kongo Maru” a bulk carrier owned by PSL, before joining the PSL office in Bangkok. Kamal last headed Information Systems Division, and was also a member of the Quality System Team. This dual role nicely blends Kamal’s passion for IT with his experience in ship operations. Kamal is credited with implementing innovative and quality-enhancing solutions for PSL’s ships wherever they may be in the world. His major contributions include implementing a comprehensive ship-management software covering all aspects of ship finance/operations/management, and conceptualizing/designing/building a simulator-based Maritime Training Center. Kamal also supported and consulted for other group companies with businesses ranging from private jets, construction, trading and travel.
