I am an Automotive Service Writer / Office Administrator, with 20+ years experience in the automotive industry. My background includes changing oil at a "quick lube" shop in my earlier years. Then I moved into front end duties including service writing and bookkeeping for an independent automotive repair shop. A few of my duties included invoicing customers, sourcing out and ordering automotive parts required for the repair, shop scheduling, keeping customers fully informed through the whole repair process, writing repair orders, filing, submitting and keeping track of all supplier warranties and returns, payroll, A/P, A/R, and monthly government remittances. I have gained substantial experience in shipping and receiving of automotive parts. I was the full time shipper/receiver for a companies Western Canada distribution center. A few of my daily duties included manually receiving stock orders. Prepared and shipped individual customer orders, as well as stock orders to supply other branches. I have also had the pleasure of gaining experience within the company as an inside sales representative. The past 6 years or my career I have gained automotive dealership experience. I started as an appointment coordinator at my first dealership position, and am currently a Senior Service Advisor and hold an average of 2.1 CP hours per RO.In addition to my on the job training, I have completed a 9 weeks Automotive Service Writer program at BCIT. Previous employers and clients have described me as being very well organized, positive, and easy to get along with. I'm reliable, a very dedicated worker, and take pride in my outstanding customer service skills. On a personal note, I enjoy gardening and family time.
