Worked on a short project spanning 5 months as a consultant on a project manager role for Thrivent client, managing a team of 13 members for a data lake project. The team was working fully remote and was using the latest tech stack consisting of data-bricks(SPARK) and Kafka streaming.

An anomaly detection system (Team size: 1):Designed developed and deployed a machine learning-based anomaly detected system to ensure service level guarantee for game detection. ACR currently had a strict Infrastructure and operation guarantee of being up 24/7 however the service quality was not being ensured. To enable one such service guarantee we need to know if there were any anomalies in the matching rates for the game event. Currently, this is deployed in the US and planned for expansion in for other services (channel and program) based on demand.Real-time analytics System (Team size: 1) :This system provides ACR the ability to view matching results in near real-time with high availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable model while dealing with extreme load and data volume (peak load ~400K ev/sec, Data volume 2Tb/day). Currently, this is deployed in the US, Korea, Canada,EU, Korea, Mexico and Brazil (all regions ACR is deployed ) and the infrastructure used is primed and optimized for a load of the specific region.

Feasibility analysis of Music Detection system (Team size: 1):Study the existing open-source (music brainz, echo print) and commercial solutions (ACR cloud, Gracenote, Shazam) in the market and create reports on the same. Create a feasibility study for the inhouse solution created by Samsung for real-time music detection; Provide an architecture for creating a scalable solution with the same. Present a case study and a demo to the VP.ACR Optimization (Team size: 25) :Drove the protocol change from https to WebSockets which resulted in a performance improvement and subsequent cost reduction in the Load-bearing (FE) servers by approximately 40%. Apart from the technical component; this task needed convincing HQ VP, SWC VP, and team and TV client team and involved creating multiple reports, presentations, and discussions with teams with varied technical, cost, timeline, and other business concerns. Also Due to the round-robin nature of ELB we needed to come up with a custom auto-scaling module to allow the system to transition from static to a clean auto-scaling model. Currently, this solution is deployed in all the regions ACR is deployed in.

CMS Optimization (Team size: 1):The Content Management system for the Advertisement platform had 85% error rate at high load. This system was optimized with an additional layer of a cache which improved the said system performance to an error-free state.Currently working on technologies related to Automatic content recognition, focused on creating a distributed design capable of dealing with millions of requests and supporting an ever-growing big data storage and grooming an offshore team for supporting the maintenance of the same in future

Evangelize the Big-data science, Provide consultation to Big Data projects; research Cloud and Big-data science. Provided consultation to Apple, Target, Cadburys India and responsibility was to Requirement Analysis, Technology stack identification, Architecture Design, and Data modelling. The technology stack learned and used was Cassandra, Hadoop, and Hive. As a team lead I was also called on for estimation, conflict resolution and deadline adherence.
