In addition to the research work and as part of my Ph.D., I worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Lyon II.During the academic year of 2019-2020, I taught introductory macroeconomics (freshman) to two different groups of students and monetary economics (sophomores).As for the academic year of 2021-2022, I taught introductory macroeconomics (freshman) to three different groups of students.The teaching position was very nourishing, especially on the relational level. It enabled me to reach different types of students from various backgrounds. Moreover, teaching helped me deliver the message of the courses in very concise terms.

During my Ph.D. I learned a set of new skills, especially in programming, data analysis, and scientific writing. Moreover, I had the opportunity to participate in several seminars and schools, notably the Macroeconomic Modeling and Policy Easter School (April 2021) offered by the Centre for International Macroeconomic Studies (CIMS) at the University of Surrey and the Summer School on Macroeconomics and the Science and Art of DSGE modeling (2021) offered by the same institution (September CIMS). In addition to the schools and seminars, I followed a number of courses at the doctoral school, these courses focused mainly on scientific programming under python.

In a very diverse working environment, my duties were to collect data and update the monthly overview of dealers to perform benchmark studies. The latter incorporates different criteria based on the quality of sales and after-sales, market shares, and financial indicators. I also participated in the calculation of a quarterly sales and quality measurement that plays a critical role in determining the variable margin of each dealership. In this context, I proposed to use the Data Envelopment Analysis method as an additional design of benchmarking. I conducted this work under Excel via VBA programming and R programming language and presented it as an internship report to the University of Lille. - Updating the monthly performance report of the dealerships- Updating the quarterly report of quality and sales that plays a crucial role in determining the variable margin- Creating presentations that study the feasibility and the geographical positioning of the proposed dealerships- Creating and following up a survey assessing the accounting program used by the dealers- Digitalizing the contracts and filing the correspondences- Updating an online database that includes pictures of dealerships and information about opening hours, area, and location- Working with the legal assistant to inform all the dealers of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The intern's duties were to enter and analyze data in excel, as well as to create PowerPoint presentations for the association's seminars. Additionally, the intern had to look for new research topics in economics and social sciences.The workshop about financial literacy that took place on October 26th, 2016, at the American University of Beirut was one of the main achievements of my internship. More than 500 surveys were collected and analyzed to assess the level of financial literacy in Lebanese society and to find if any correlation exists between financial literacy and other variables such as age, gender, education, and the place of residence. Moreover, the flexible and encouraging work environment and the organization of seminars substantially helped me develop my personality and my communication skills.

During the internship at BLOM Bank, I participated in daily and weekly tasks that included: documenting SWIFT messages, calculating the interest payments on loans, performing FOREX transactions, and informing the customers about the different benefits and costs of the bank account.Additionally, the intern helped translate documents from English to Arabic and vice versa.The internship at BLOM Bank introduced me to the software used to perform different banking transactions; moreover, it familiarized me with the SWIFT messaging system. The added value of the internship lies in engaging in practical tasks and problem-solving activities.

The internship at the Banque du Liban helped me understand the role of the central bank and the interventions it makes to regulate the market. BDL organized several exercises to link theory and practice. One of these exercises was a simulation of trading bonds and stocks. The team of which I was part managed to make the most profits.
