I am a flexible and radically empathic communications professional, using sharp writing and editing, a keen design eye, and counseling training to help people and businesses talk to each other more effectively. I currently manage a community focused on online and real-time mutual aid, moderating thorny discussions during the pandemic. In my most recent position at a boutique travel company, I wrote, researched, and edited engaging content to showcase international destinations. As the communications manager at a video game startup, I drove all communication, marketing, and PR initiatives. I also dipped into game writing and editing, UI overhauling, project management - essentially filling in wherever extra work was needed to see the game succeed. At present, I am seeking work as a writer/editor, social media/community manager, or project manager.I am most productive when I split my time between solitary, intensive projects like writing and editing, video production/editing, and research; and more team-oriented work like events, community management, or project management. It's important to me that I believe in the work that I'm doing, and I can be a passionate advocate for creative projects, social justice, and any work that seeks to improve people's lives.My experience is broad-ranging, as I have always been a seeker. Several strengths, however, have served me and developed over many different professional situations: empathy, insight, creative problem-solving, and a keen critical eye.
