I've always believed that story-driven creativity and validated learning is crucial to any project. The results of this are marketing that grows fans, cultivates communities, and generates revenue. It might come at a surprise that my first attempt at being a professional graphic designer ended with me being suspended from the site I worked on and being told to come back in three months when I had improved. A rough start to my career, but a much-needed one. During my "suspension", I dived deep into what it is that brands are looking for as well as what it was that connected with their audiences. Months later I came back to that site with a new understanding of marketing and storytelling, and was able to land multiple jobs at different companies to help them grow their brand.I'm a dynamic thinker who spends most of his time thinking of startups and creative projects. Some of those ideas have become small businesses with their own branding and social media presence. One of which garnered over 100 unique customers and thousands of web views. While I wouldn't consider myself a master artist or an esteemed writer, what I am is a passionate learner. I've taught myself how to use industry leading software such as Adobe, create successful ads and track them through services like Hubspot, and even create apparel and merchandise for professional athletes. I know how to ask questions and where to look for answers. That is what allows me to create engaging designs and powerful marketing campaigns. What fully rounds me out is my curious nature. I'm always discovering new hobbies to keep me inspired. Just in the last couple of years I've started woodworking, disc golf, roundnet, and pickleball. These new hobbies are what allows me to think differently every time I encounter a new challenge.Lastly, I must say that I wouldn't be anywhere I am today without the love and grace of God. He gives me the strength and inspiration to continue to do my best.
