When I first applied to the 4 Corners Cafe, in August 2016, I had no expectations of being trained in more than just dish washing due to my age as well as I was only seeking an entry level position. Much to my surprise, during the interview, I was informed of a well-rounded staff that would be skilled in most of the functions needed for the restaurant. Obviously I got the job and immediately I was trained to be able to make coffee, make crepes, wash dishes, etc. The only thing I wasn't taught was how to wait on people but it definitely came to me fast. As time has progressed, I have worked out methods and patterns to help smooth out the flow of the restaurant. This personal progress and need to serve people to the best of my abilities has also impressed my bosses to the point in which they have promoted me to assistant manager within the first few months. I really enjoy the environment in which I work in so I am able to work fast and efficient. I am so proud to have helped start this business up as it has become a great success.In early Spring, 2017 I was trained how to cook, prepare, and create the menu items for the cafe. This is a big step up in my job because it puts me in a position to provide the best food for the customers and it makes me represent the business. By producing product that our customers consume and love it brings it right back to the cafe. After watching many GaryVee videos and inspirational quote surfing I found what seemed like an entrepreneurial opportunity; eBay selling. I created my business from scratch and have created several social media accounts for it. I market my own store and for a start up it is doing well. I constantly work on new ideas and goals that I want this business to turn into. Any which way it goes it's a good start for me to be able to start putting my foot into the entrepreneurial world. KosmixBuys has been my gateway drug to entrepreneurship and it won't stop anytime soon

When bad weather hit, the entrepreneur side of me sprung into action. With the help of my brother and a friend we started going door to door asking people if they wanted their driveways shoveled for whatever they were willing to pay. This was a big success as we were able to make a great amount of money in a short amount of time. This attitude I demonstrated proved a common misconception in Darrington, that there was no jobs. That's the main excuse people have when they're not willing to do what it takes to find that work instead of trying to have work find you.

As an assistant, I have completed many tasks throughout the time that I have worked with this private party. The diverse range of tasks that this job included could range from lawn care to a deckhand to floor installation. I worked with this private party on weekends as well as weekdays (only in summer). I always worked hard and efficient as to ensure that projects got done within a timely manner.Lawn care was one of the many different job duties that I had to perform. I helped to maintain the bushes and trees in prime condition. This included cutting branches off of the trees and trimming the bushes to proper height, width, and depth. I also helped to rake together grass clippings into a pile so as it could decompose. As a deckhand, I helped maintain the boat as well as upgrade it. Often during summers, I would wash the boat to get the grime and dirt off of the white boat. Due to the need for the boat to be handicapped accessible, I also helped to install a railing system on the boat to help a disabled person to be able to move around with ease.Installing flooring was one of the very first tasks that I was set upon to help with. I helped to place, measure, and nail down bamboo planks. This was to replace an old floor because it was outdated and the bamboo flooring looked more aesthetically pleasing. The floor replaced all the flooring within the hallway leading to the bedrooms, the entire living room, and the dining room.
