Smooth execution and management of MARC maintenance contracts. International Business Development: International Business development for surface and Underground equipment, MARC Maintenance and Coal Mining operations.

Tata Steel - West Bokaro

Accountable for Managing the maintenance and repair contract (MARC) for the Caterpillar fleet of 56 equipment including 41 nos. 777D 100 Ton dump Trucks at Tata steel West Bokaro site. The Key responsibilities: All the functions pertaining to annual budgeting, inventory management and ensuring optimum parts consumption to ensure project profitabilityAttained annual contractual availability of 90% Adhering compliance with caterpillar safety & environmental standardsAchievement of CAT performance matrix, MTBF, MTTR, service accuracy, compliance with CAT maintenance & repair process (M&R Process)

Responsible for Maintenance of KOVAKO 400TPH pneumatic ship unloader powered with 07 Nos. of Cummins Q – Series Engines, 100% uptime to ensure timely unloading of ship to avoid demurrages and the maintenance of other earth moving, support equipment to ensure required availability for smooth operation of cement terminal plant

Responsible for overall maintenance activities including budgeting of spares, inventory management for the fleet of Komatsu PC1250 Excavators, HD465 Trucks, L&T Excavators and Pay Loaders, BEML Dumpers and Dozers, Atlas Drills, L&T Locomotives and other support equipmentKey Achievements :1) Instrumental in establishing Gainwell as lead equipment supplier and Operator for Underground coal production with Continuous miner technology. Currently 7- Sets of Continues Miners package with long-term 9- Years operation contract on cost per tones basis (+300 million USD). Another 3 – Orders (+400 million USD) in hand, Projects scheduled to execute in year 2023 and 2024.2) Received the Contract for MDO Underground Coal mining on Cost per tonne basis ( +1200 Million USD), The project duration is 25 Years. 3) Instrumental for cracking the deal with Tata steel for the Introduction of 1st Gainwell Highwall Miner supply and Operation Contact on cost per tonne basis (+40 Million USD) and another 2- orders (+ 60 million USD) in hand and scheduled to execute in year 2023.4) Instrumental in establishing Caterpillar HRV underground metal mining equipment business in India against the than fully established competition of Sandvik and Epirock. Since 2016, Sold +120 equipment (+100 Million USD) along with 5- 7 years MARC contracts (+210 Million USD) Instrumental for introducing complimentary equipment to Caterpillar HRV production equipment in 2019. Sold +25 Units supplementing to Caterpillar fleet. 5) Implementation of Caterpillar M&R process and successful execution at Tata steel MARC Project. India’s 1st and 7th project globally to do so during 2011.Caterpillar 5- star Rating for ware house and 3- star rating for workshop and consistently maintaining the same at Tata steel West Bokaro project.6) At Nigeria, successfully managed the fleet to achieve desired results at Africa where the resources i.e., spare parts, special tooling and skilled manpower is major constraint.
