Working with interdisciplinary members of a team to provide excellent care to ambulatory patients of all ages, stages, and cultures; quickly triaging, assessing, and often initiating care prior to provider seeing a patient based on critical thinking and appropriately following protocols and policies; thoroughly educating patients prior to discharge or transfer to the Emergency Room; calling patients to follow up on the care they received and relay any outstanding lab results and/or radiology reports

Providing holistic nursing care to a variety of patients on 7 different units, including intensive care, emergency services, telemetry, orthopedics/neurology, oncology/urology, acute rehab, and senior adult mental health; managing a patient load of up to six patients; assessing patients; monitoring patients on telemetry and bedside monitors; close monitoring of vital signs and laboratory values; maintaining and monitoring IV access; titrating critical drips appropriately and safely; monitoring patients using CPAP
