After completing graduate school, my interest in Korean culture and language led me to work abroad in Daegu, South Korea. I was hired through the English Program in Korea (EPIK), which is sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education and the Korean National Institute for International Education Development.While in Korea, I taught middle school students how to speak English using my accredited Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) credentials. I ensured that my students had the skills needed to succeed in English-led classrooms and reach a proficient achievement level on national exams.
