TIR is a UN trade facilitation instrument that the IRU manages under the UN's longest standing public-private partnership.The MENA project that I am currently managing aims at building peace and trust across the region by fostering dialogue and public-private partnerships.This project provides a platform to promote trade facilitation, economic integration, and digitalization throughout the MENA region.

I led a research project on the environment - forced-migration nexus from an overarching human rights approach, under the umbrella of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. This project falls within the research agenda of the hub of Environmental Governance and Territorial Development, and was financed through the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship. My research interests include public policy, human behavioural sciences, migration and conflict, management of the commons, sustainable development, indicator-based decision making, governance, and food security.

I conducted quantitative and qualitative research on rural livelihoods in countries of South-Eastern and Southern Asia, and East and West Africa, in collaboration with VSO country offices and rural livelihoods global practice. Which culminated in background status reports on food systems for the countries involved, as well as policy papers and policy briefs.I also actively advocated for grassroots engagement in decision-making on questions of food and nutrition security at local, national and international policy spaces, including national food policy dialogues, through policy propositions.

Coordinated, drafted and presented country status reports for 22 member countries of the League of Arab States, and other technical and scientific material. Assisted in socio-economic and environmental analysis and policy advice, using scientific monitoring data.

Conducted research on environmental and socio-economic aspects of advancing food security and environmental policy in 22 countries members of the League of Arab States.Assisted in planning and executing programme and project activities, including budget monitoring, organisation and management of international workshops and events, coordination with high-level stakeholders, communication management, and capacity building design and delivery.

Informed a panel for the 3rd Arab Forum for Scientific Research and Sustainable Development. Contributed substantively to the production of the Arab Sustainable Development Report (ASDR), through data management and analytical reporting. Drafted technical papers on justice and right to access to natural resources, the science-policy interface in the Arab region, and on sustainable consumption and production.
