Kamil Nawratil is an Polish-born, visual artist living in New York. In his recent bodies of works, he has been working with new media technologies to create digital sculptures, immersive audiovisual installations and responsive live performances. His work explores the merging of nature, art and technology. By visualizing dichotomies and bridging interdisciplinary fields including, digital art, science, architecture and graffiti, he has found a space to explore the connection between seemingly disparate realms within larger ecosystems. His work has been exhibited both domestically and abroad at venues including, SIGGRAPH (Hong Kong), Renew (Copenhagen), Kinetica Art Exhibition (London), The Georgia Museum of Art (Atlanta), and the New Museum's Skyroom (New York), and has been featured on Wired, The Creators Project, Creative Applications, Fast Company, and many other publications. He attended the MFA Computer Art program at the School of Visual Arts, at which time he also co-founded the interactive, new media studio VolvoxLabs [VVOX]. He now balances his time between work, collaborations, experimentation, and commissions.
