Current- Trial lawyer and of counsel to the Criminal Defense Team of Baldwin Perry & Wiley, P.C.
- Represented clients in Indiana courts accused of these crimes (not complete a listing): capital murder (x 3); triple murder (twice); murder; felony murder; voluntary manslaughter; attempted murder; reckless homicide.
- Trial experience includes 66 jury trials to verdict (52 felony; 14 misdemeanor) and thousands of other substantive court battles (evidentiary hearings, sentencings, bench trials).
- 69% of his Mark's 36 jury trials tried since January 2009 have been wins (15 walk-away-not-guilty verdicts; 9 not-guilty verdicts on the most serious count and conviction of a lesser charge; 2 hung juries).
- Appointed lead counsel in 2 capital murder cases (co-counsel in a 3rd) - all ending in clients leaving Indiana’s death row or not going there in the first place (2018-23). As co-counsel for one of those men, on death.
- 1 of only 6 lawyers in the state of Indiana (currently reporting almost 16,000 licensed resident active attorneys) to be Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (2009 - Present).
