The Substitute is hét platform voor het duurzame alternatief in interieur en verbouw. Het is onze missie om de duurzaamheidstransitie in de interieur- en verbouwbranche te versnellen. Alleen al in Europa wordt er ieder jaar 10,78 miljoen ton aan meubels weggegooid. 80-90% hiervan wordt verbrand of eindigt op de vuilnisbelt. Slechts 10% wordt gerecycled. Dit is zonde want zo gaan er heel veel waardevolle grondstoffen verloren! Duurzame alternatieven zijn er genoeg. Echter dit aanbod sneeuwt vaak onder bij de rest van het aanbod in deze branche omdat het in >80% van de gevallen gaat om MKB-bedrijven en professionals (Interieurarchitecten, ontwerpers en stylisten) met beperkte marketing power. Hierdoor weet de bewuste consument hen maar moeilijk te vinden. Daarom zijn wij The Substitute gestart. Hét platform voor het duurzame alternatief in interieur en verbouw. The Substitute start met een online community voor duurzame merken & professionals (interieurarchitecten, ontwerpers en stylisten). Zij delen netwerk, kennis en marketing-power in een online community met offline events. Een enorme bron van informatie met als doel: De consument overzicht, inspiratie & kennis op het gebied van duurzaam wonen bieden zodat ze gemakkelijk duurzame keuzes kunnen maken.Wil je mee doen of wil je meer weten? De eerste Duurzame Woonbeurs voor consumenten zal plaatsvinden op 4-5-6 Oktober dit jaar in de Kromhouthal te Amsterdam. Hier zullen duurzame interieurmerken, start-ups en ontwerpers zichzelf presenteren. ‘Alles voor een duurzaam interieur onder één dak en voor elk budget’. Kom langs en laat je inspireren en adviseren door duurzame merken en (interieur)designers. We hebben als westerse consument veel meer impact dan we denken. Niet alleen in het dagelijks gebruik van de spullen die we kopen, maar juist aan de andere kant van de wereld, bij het maken en vervoeren van deze spullen. Slechts 21% van onze impact is zichtbaar. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de uitstoot van een auto: die is direct meetbaar. De overige 79% van onze impact, o.a. voor het maken en het vervoer van deze auto blijft doorgaans verborgen. Wij als consument betalen uiteindelijk voor die verborgen impact en wij houden het systeem daarmee in stand. Deze training belicht de hoogtepunten van het boek ‘De verborgen impact’ van Babette Porcelijn. Je krijgt inzicht in wat verborgen impact precies is en waar de grootste impact zich bevindt. Op deze manier kun jij gericht bewuste keuzes maken en zo een positieve invloed uitoefenen. The Postcode Lottery Green Challenge is one of the world's largest competitions in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. Green start-ups from all over the world can submit their promising sustainable business plans. The 5 finalists will receive price money and participate in an accelerator program to further develop their product/service and to bring it to market. I was asked to perform an independent evaluation of the accelerator program. For this evaluation I interviewed all the stakeholders involved and participated in parts if the program in order to write the final report and come-up with suggestions for further development of the program.

Oneplanetcrowd is the crowdfunding platform for sustainable and social innovation. Via Oneplanetcrowd sustainable and social entrepreneurs are able to raise the capital needed to start- and scale-up their businesses. Together with the management team I was responsible for the growth of Oneplanetcrowd by being involved in a.o. business development, marketing & communication and HR. As the commercial director I was responsible for the set-up of the commercial operations and management of the team of investment specialists. Main focus; establish corporate partnerships (a.o. Rabobank, Accenture) and guide innovative sustainable businesses with their crowdfunding campaign, from selection to running the campaign.

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with European Wholesale Clients (sales > EUR 250mln) in the Food & Agri sector with a specific focus on the Farm Inputs sector.

Recruitment for students and starters was shattered across the organization. As a project manager I was asked to align the different recruitment efforts for this target group and develop a new recruitment strategy.

Approve/decline credit reports and loan applications for corporate clients at desk level (authority up to EUR 10/20 mln new/existing credit applications) and provide opinions for credit committees with a specific focus on borrower, counterparty, financial, and structural risks, and in turn the risk reward balance.

The Corporate Management Trainee program consists of exclusive (financial) courses and workshops and periodic assignments at four different departments of Rabobank.
