My name is Kamren Daniel, I've worked in the hospitality industry for almost 10 years now. I'm in the process of changing careers to something that I'm not only more passionate about, but offers exciting opportunities for personal and professional growth. I've recently completed the Google Cybersecurity Certificate which has increased my knowledge of NIST frameworks and the implementation of security controls to ensure compliance with international regulations related to data protection. This certificate has given me experience with identifying threats, risks, and vulnerabilities; security hardening; threat modeling; and incident escalation and response. I'm now proficient in the use of Linux command line, SQL, and Python as well.My background in the hospitality industry has equipped me with skills such as flexibility, teamwork/collaboration, and effective communication. Experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments has sharpened my ability to think on my feet and pay great attention to detail.Much of my free time at the moment goes into continuous education in the field of Cybersecurity, I'm devoted to constantly working towards making myself a stronger asset and I hope to land my first entry-level position soon.
