Conducts short- and long-term planning and management for events and salesDevelops and recommend the budget, marketing plans, and objectives and manages within those approved plansMaintains or exceeds budgeted sales and profits in all event areasRecommends, develops, and implements effective marketing plans for generating event revenuesEvaluates each piece of event business to ensure business can be properly servicedAssembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendorsTrains, supervises, and works with event staff, to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising and execution of the functionsLeads event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectivesAdministers all phases of the event department, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative proceduresCoaches and counsels' employees to reflect company service standards and procedures.Working with the marketing and public relations departments to prepare budgets, setting deadlines, creating concepts and identifying the objectives of the eventImplementing budget, invoicing and logisticsSelecting and negotiating with vendors and monitoring their activities to ensure quality controlManaging the promotions, communications and branding aspects of the eventSupervising Caterers, Junior Event Coordinators and security teamsResolving problems and guest inquiries before and during the eventApproving all activities for the event

Preparing reports and making a presentation to management after the event.Assist in managing hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenanceLearn and understand the hotel's standard operating procedures and policiesEnsure guest satisfaction and handle guest complaints as neededAssist in hiring, training and supervising staffConduct regular inventory checks and order supplies as neededAttend meetings and training sessions as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by the hotel management team.Assist ManagersDealing with customer concerns in an effective wayLooking after the guest.
