As the Senior Cash Analyst for Retail Energy Operations, I facilitate cash postings, analysis, and remediation of cash applications for all cash receipts, ensuring their accurate and timely application to customers’ accounts. In this role, I act as a liaison to the Collections team for the proper application of cash receipts and reconcile daily cash postings while researching discrepancies to ensure proper resolution. I maintain a fundamental understanding of cross-functional principles, from deal inception/pricing to post-flow accounting, and strategically prioritize and balance workloads based on changing business needs. I assure that problem accounts are managed and escalated to the manager as appropriate.Furthermore, I actively participate in major department projects and cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements, processes, and initiatives. I serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various projects involving system enhancements, product development, market changes, and system testing.Proficiency in all market rules pertaining to remittance, billing, and collection procedures allows me to make recommendations to the manager on process improvements that streamline cash application activities and suggest new or changes in remittance policy and procedures to enhance the customer experience.

Prepare all daily banking and cash reports for various members of the Finance team. Upload bank files and bank statements daily for several operation and payroll bank accounts which total between 2 to 10 million dollars a day. Manual cash application of any funds received that don’t auto apply during upload transmission process. Upload bank statements daily for cash management reconciliations in the cash management module of Oracle R12. Reconcile accounts in cash management module . Prepare reports for unapplied cash while also working with key accounting managers in resolving cash application issues. Act as a liaison between JP Morgan Chase and the internal IT unit when various banking errors occur internally as well as externally. Perform system testing of newly implemented accounting software as it pertains to accounts receivables and other areas of cash management. Submit wire transfers and ACH’s upon request or as needed when inter-company funds have been sent incorrectly.

Daily management of over 60 check payments from a JP Morgan Chase Lockbox sometimes totaling up to 2million dollars per day. Apply funds to appropriate accounts / Provide Aged Invoice Reports WeeklyProcess manual check payments to various vendor in a timely manner Create and Bill invoices to clients when short staffed.

Handle a broad scope of internal processes including the daily management of over 600 checks from a Bank of America Lockbox sometimes totaling up to 50 million dollars per day. Compiled excel reports to keep records of deposits. Processed manual/computerized cash batch; executed and delegated data entry of no less than 250 checks per day with value form 3-20 million dollars per week. Acted as a liaison between account representatives and customers for invoice request. Trained and supervised 3 Hewlett Packard staff members in areas of procedures, client relations and systems operations during out sourcing ramp up. Credit card processing, adjustments, research of misapplied and unidentified payments, and refund processing.
